Which Poker Site is the Easiest to Make Money on?

A question I get a lot is, "Which site is the easiest to make money on?".

I've been making a killing on PKR Poker. My ROI is consistently higher on PKR than on PokerStars. There are a few reasons for this:

1. It's a small site, and there are plenty of juicy games that aren't overloaded by good regulars (Their Omaha games are literally a joke. I've never seen such bad Omaha players before).

2. The graphical interface attracts fish. PKR is a 3D poker site with amazing graphics. It looks like a video game, and therefore attracts players who wouldn't otherwise play online poker (AKA bad players).

3. The graphical interface repels sharks. PKR's multitable capabilities are lower than other sites. You can play a few tables, but you can't play 18-50 like on the big sites. Because of this, the profitable multitablers stay away.

I strongly recommend that everybody try PKR. It's an amazing site with amazingly bad players. If you lose, break-even, or don't make as much as you want to on PokerStars, give PKR a try. You might find that you are a better poker player than PokerStars gives you credit for.

Article: Do you Focus Enough on your Position? | Category: Basic Poker Strategies

I've seen so many articles on position that say the exact same thing. The result? In one ear, and out the other.

After reading the article do most players immediately change from being in position 40% of the time to being in position 60% of the time? No, because these articles don't help to identify the situations where players often fail to capture position.

In this guide to position we teach you techniques to ensure that you have good position as often as possible. We talk about buying the button, avoiding marginal calls that will leave you out of position, and making a conscious commitment to stay in position more often.

The Winning Mindset

Article: The Winning Mindset | Category: Poker Psychology

Have you ever caught yourself doing something at the poker table that you would swear up and down that you don't do? Maybe you call a preflop raise out of position with KT, and then later laugh at a player who makes the same call on TV.

There is a reason why you can laugh at a player for making a player a stupid play on TV, and then later make the same play yourself.

The reason is that there are two ways of thinking about poker: 1) Theoretical 2) Application.

When you learn that you are supposed to try to have good position you have learned something theoretical. When you laydown your suited KJ to a preflop raise from a player who has position you have mastered application of that theory.

Most of us have all the theory in our heads to be winning players. That's why we can laugh at a player for doing something that we do ourselves.

Only a small fraction of us will actually apply everything we know on a regular basis. This article describes what it takes to win consistently at poker.

Stay Calm

Article: Stay Calm | Category: Poker Psychology

Patience is a quality that all winning players have. It's impossible to go far in this game unless you have patience.

However, most of the time I see books or websites talk about patience they only mention starting hand selection, and fail to talk about the value of being patient after the flop has been dealt, and beyond.

Even worse, most players seem to think that patience is about playing the right hands, so when they get dealt Aces they stop being patient and start shoving chips in the middle.

Wait a second! You can't just raise it up without picking the right number. You don't want 5 callers, and you certainly don't want 0. You have to slow down and pick the right amount to raise.

This article will help you to identify times where you may not be as patient as you should be.

Tip: Chatting at the poker table reveals information about how you play. If you become upset after you lose a big hand other players will pick up on your frustration - and target you.

Common Sit and Go Mistakes

Article: Common Sit and Go Mistakes | Category: Sit n Gos

We have identified seven mistakes that people make in Sit and Go's:

1. Giving up the chip lead too easily

2. Trying to use fold equity to early in the game

3. Playing too many hands early

4. Not switching gears in time

5. Not reading their opponents well near the end

6. Not practicing their heads-up game enough

7. Not watching stack sizes as the bubble approaches

When somebody is eliminated from a Sit and Go one of these seven mistakes is almost always the cause.

Even if you get taken from a bad beat you may have been able to have some chips left over had you not played so many hands early on, or if you had saved a few bets by reading your opponents better as the bubble approached.

If you learn these seven mistakes, and stop making them, you will be a Sit and Go player that people hate to sit with, and your bank account will thank you many times over.
